New Maruti Suzuki Baleno debuts with Level 2 ADAS; Prices start at ₹6.09 lakh

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has introduced the Stunning New Baleno, aimed at young and ambitious urban buyers seeking a blend of sophisticated styling, premium features and advanced technology. Built around the brand’s ‘Dare to go Glam’ philosophy, the new Baleno brings an updated and progressive design language to the premium hatchback segment.

The new model combines a striking exterior with a more premium cabin, while introducing several segment-leading features focused on comfort, convenience and safety. A key highlight is the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which uses a combination of radar and camera technology to enhance driving assistance.

The Stunning New Baleno also gets ventilated front seats with plush leatherette upholstery, adding to its comfort and premium appeal. Bookings for the new Baleno are now open for ₹11,000, while prices start at ₹6,09,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

Premium and Progressive design – The Stunning New Baleno’s new front facia features a premium and a new vision of the signature NEXWave grille that commands attention with its unmistakable design. The wide new grille is instrumental in defining the New Baleno’s road presence, featuring prominent 3D patterns with horizontal chrome slats that accentuate the stance and overall width of the Stunning New Baleno. 

Complementing the styling of the Stunning New Baleno is the new sculpted front bumper with a new lower grille design, adding a layer of NEXPression. Lending a touch of NEXA’s crafted futurism design is the new chrome accent fender garnish that adds sophistication to the design, while the NEXTre’ LED DRLs continue to ensure its distinct appeal. The Stunning New Baleno comes with a shark fin antenna, contributing to the premium appeal. 

The Stunning New Baleno is available in range of 7 colour options including the introduction of a new Enigmatic Teal colour shade inspired by the depths of the sea and digital fusion, to embody depth in shadows and brilliance under light. 

Protected by NEXA Safety Shield – The Stunning New Baleno with NEXTech introduces a new level of driving convenience and safety for premium hatchback segment customers with the introduction of the Level 2 ADAS. Equipped with a radar and camera combination, the ADAS system offers advanced driver assistance features including Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, High Beam Assist (HBA), Vehicle Sway Warning and Forward Collision Warning. The Stunning New Baleno’s Level 2 ADAS suite acts as an intelligent driver assistance system for enhanced driving safety. 

Equipped with an array of standard NEXA Safety Shield features including 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Hold Control, Reverse Parking Sensors, 3-Point Seat Belts, Seat Belt Reminders, and the introduction of Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS); the Stunning New Baleno offers enhanced protection for greater peace of mind.

The Stunning New Baleno also comes with Suzuki Connect telematics system with 40+ features for vehicle safety and security, trips and driving behaviour, status-alerts and remote operations through the Suzuki Connect App. 

New Advanced Z12E engine – Powering the Stunning New Baleno is the Advanced Z12E powertrain with a maximum power output of 61 kW @ 5700 rpm and 112.4 Nm of peak torque @ 4500 rpm. Equipped with Idle Start-Stop technology and Dual VVT, the powertrain is engineered to optimise driving pleasure with low CO₂ emissions. Available with 5-speed manual (MT) and Auto Gear Shift (AGS) automatic transmission options, the Stunning New Baleno offers fuel-efficiency of 23.80 km/l for the MT model and 24.77 km/l for the AGS model, an improvement of 6.4% and 7.9% in fuel-efficiency respectively over its predecessor. The Baleno S-CNG is available with the Z12E engine and 5-speed manual transmission delivers a fuel efficiency of 33.61 km/kg in S-CNG (MT), an improvement of 9.8% over its predecessor.
