FlixBus and Vertelo have signed an MoU to roll out 500 electric intercity coach buses across India, marking a major step toward sustainable long-distance travel. Announced on April 28, 2025, in New Delhi, the partnership leverages FlixBus’s expansive digital-first intercity network and Vertelo’s expertise in electric mobility solutions.
Currently connecting over 200 Indian cities, FlixBus will lead demand generation and identify key routes for electric deployment. Vertelo will support with tailored financing and leasing options, charging infrastructure, and coordination with OEMs to ensure the right electric bus models are introduced.
This collaboration supports India’s push for greener mobility and reinforces FlixBus’s nationwide expansion strategy.

FlixBus plans to expand its network to connect more communities nationwide, while Vertelo continues to grow as a key enabler of EV adoption through its comprehensive leasing, financing, and infrastructure services.
