Ola’s कृत्रिम acquires BharatSah‘AI’yak, an Indian AI Platform for public service innovation

BharatSah‘AI’yak, developed by Samagra, enables swift AI deployment in government initiatives across education, agriculture, and citizen services. कृत्रिम aims to expand its reach pan India to drive large-scale public transformation.

कृत्रिम, India’s first AI unicorn and part of the Ola Group, has acquired BharatSah‘AI’yak—an AI-powered platform developed by Samagra that has played a vital role in rapidly deploying AI solutions across government-led initiatives in education, agriculture, and governance.

As part of its vision to build a comprehensive AI computing stack for India, Krutrim is developing an integrated ecosystem that includes AI computing infrastructure, an AI Cloud, foundational language models, and intelligent end-user applications. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in expanding AI’s role in public services and scaling India’s AI capabilities.

By integrating its advanced Large Language Models (LLMs), powerful cloud infrastructure, and the agentic platform behind its AI assistant app Kruti, कृत्रिम aims to scale BharatSah‘AI’yak nationwide. This move strengthens Krutrim’s mission to democratise AI and foster smarter, more inclusive solutions for public service delivery, enterprise needs, and citizen engagement across the country.

कृत्रिम has also onboarded Samagra’s core AI team to ensure innovation continuity. The integration of BharatSah’AI’yak with कृत्रिम Cloud, along with क ृत्रिम’s agentic platforms and LLM models, enables the company and its partners to serve a wide range of use cases and government applications.

कृत्रिम spokesperson said, “Integrating BharatSah’Ai’yak into the Krutrim ecosystem widens its offerings, lending cutting edge AI-centric assistance and support to a range of government initiatives, programs and schemes – thereby spearheading and strengthening the democratisation of AI, making it beneficial and accessible to every Indian. At कृत्रिम, we have onboarded the country’s brightest minds to develop a platform that reflects the diversity, depth, and richness of Indian languages and culture. This integration enhances our ability to build AI that is inclusive, intuitive, and deeply rooted in the lived realities of India. With कृत्रिम, we remain committed towards making ‘AI for all’ a reality, empowering every individual with technology they can truly call their own.”

BharatSah’AI’yak specialises in creating Bharat-focused, vernacular Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) based AI bots that deliver both text and voice-led experiences. The platform excels at developing solutions that blend conversational and deterministic flows while remaining cost-effective and accessible for last-mile users.

The platform’s success is demonstrated through several high-impact implementations:

●KumbhSah’AI’yak: India’s first AI-powered chatbot for Maha Kumbh 2025, providing pilgrims with 24/7 guidance on rituals, navigation, accommodations, and attractions. कृत्रिम delivered cutting-edge hosted open-source LLM services for the chatbot.

●AMA Krushi AI chatbot in Odisha for voice-led agriculture and scheme advisory for farmers in local languages, based on official government data.

With कृत्रिम’s advanced AI models, cloud infrastructure and the agentic platform underlying Kruti, these specialised assistants can now scale to serve more users across diverse domains with intuitive, efficient, and language-inclusive interactions.

क ृत्रिम recently announced the launch of Kruti, the country’s first agentic AI assistant designed to go far beyond conventional chatbots. Kruti is poised to lead to a paradigm shift in AI, moving from passive responses to proactive, agentic task execution. Kruti can execute tasks like cab booking, food ordering, billpayments, image creation, and in-depth research, while also supporting read-aloud responses. Additionally, it offers advanced AI features like in-depth research and image creation free of cost for users.
