JSW MG Motor India has announced the delivery of over 100 electric vehicles in a single day in Delhi-NCR. Reinforcing its commitment to promoting electric vehicle adoption, the company delivered more than 100 units of India’s first intelligent CUV, the MG Windsor, along with India’s first pure electric internet SUV, the MG ZS EV, and the street-smart MG Comet. This milestone highlights the increasing enthusiasm among car buyers for MG’s electric vehicle offerings.
The MG Windsor recently created a milestone of becoming the first passenger EV in India to garner 15,176 bookings within 24 hours of booking announcement. MG Windsor combines the comfort of a sedan and the expanse of an SUV, is offered with an innovative aerodynamic design, spacious and opulent interiors, reassuring safety, smart connectivity and range of 332km.
MG Comet – The Street-Smart Car is Big Inside and Compact Outside (BICO) offers 55+ connected features and i-SMART technology. Its agile and practical design with small turning radius enhances manoeuvrability in tight parking spaces and makes the city driving convenient. The MG ZS EV offers premium features, spacious interiors, i-SMART technology, and over 75 connected car features. It offers a range of 461 km suitable for long distance family drives.
BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) – Unique ownership program: JSW MG Motor India had introduced a unique EV ownership plan through Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), this flexible ownership program eliminates the upfront cost of the battery, enabling customers to pay only for its usage. This subscription model lowers the per-kilometre expense significantly reducing the initial acquisition cost to ensure an economical ownership experience, it is applicable throughout MG’s EV portfolio.
Under the unique Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, Windsor is available at INR 9.99 Lakhs + battery rental @₹3.5/Km, MG Comet EV starts at ₹4.99 Lakh + battery rental @₹2.5/km. and the MG ZS EV is offered at ₹13.99 Lakh + battery rental @₹4.5/km.
Commitment to building the EV Ecosystem: JSW MG Motor launched a series of pioneering EV innovations to boost EV adoption that includes the eHUB by MG app, the Industry’s first and largest charging platform by an OEM. This seamless, all-in-one charging solution has more than 22,000 application downloads. The app integrates with over 28 leading charge-point-operators, covering around 80 percent of the country’s charging network, enabling EV owners to locate chargers, reserve spots, start charging, and pay all through a single platform. Users have planned more than 40,000 trips and covered about 25 million green Kilometre to date, showcasing the app’s role in supporting green mobility across India.
