Yulu bags FICCI 4th Smart Urban Innovation Awards under the “Smart Mobility” category 

The award is in recognition of Yulu’s successful integration of technology, sustainability, and convenience to innovative urban mobility solutions

Yulu, India’s largest shared electric 2-wheeler company has been recognized as the Best “Smart Mobility” company at the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) 4th Smart Urban Innovation awards. The event was held at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi, on the sidelines of the 6th Edition of Smart Cities Summit.

The award jury recognized Yulu’s exemplary work in the shared e-mobility category to address critical challenges faced by urban commuters, revolutionizing the way people move within cities. By leveraging micro-mobility Vehicles (MMVs) and a robust tech stack, Yulu enables seamless, shared, and sustainable first and last-mile connectivity, and has carved a niche for itself as the EV of choice for millions of everyday riders and delivery executives across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.

Smart Urban Innovation Award is one the most prestigious awards by FICCI, recognising exemplary work in different categories such as smart mobility, sustainable cities, disruptive solutions, etc. In building its mobility solutions, Yulu has innovated in various areas, including creating Yulu Zones for parking infrastructure, using technology to run operations efficiently as well as ensuring safety & durability of assets, implementing connected vehicles with IoT-enabled fleet, creating EV battery charging & swapping infrastructure at scale, and solving for new mobility use cases like gig delivery.

Yulu has served millions of users for their first & last mile mobility needs and lakhs of green deliveries have been made using Yulu shared EVs. With its electric MaaS solution, Yulu has effectively addressed several pressing issues, including poor connectivity to public transport, lack of affordable and convenient short commute options and supply shortages in the quick commerce industry. Yulu’s zero-emission vehicles have also helped save 15,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions till date, thus helping improve air quality and combat climate change.
