This year’s edition introduces 26 new exhibitors, including seven design studios, expanding the fair’s design section to feature a total of eleven distinguished studios from India and beyond. Marking its largest edition yet, India Art Fair remains committed to showcasing the finest in South Asian art while also highlighting major contemporary international artists and pioneering collectible design. With its ever-growing influence, the fair continues to serve as the leading destination for art and culture in the region.

Mr. Vikram Pawah, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said, “BMW Group India is a steadfast champion of the arts and cultural landscape across India. We take immense pride in our creative collaboration with the India Art Fair, as it continues to champion India’s diverse and thriving contemporary arts landscape. Our shared vision for a future that is both creative and sustainable is perfectly encapsulated by the latest edition of ‘The Future is Born of Art’ Commission. This groundbreaking initiative explores how the harmonious integration of ecological and technological thinking can create a more sustainable, balanced, and regenerative world – all through the captivating lens of an artist’s vision. We eagerly await the opportunity to welcome audiences from India and around the globe at the fair, where they will experience the transformative power of art and technology, united in the pursuit of a better tomorrow.”

‘The Future is Born of Art’ Commission & BMW Art Talk at India Art Fair 2025

BMW India and India Art Fair present the fourth edition of ‘The Future is Born of Art’ Commission, an annual initiative that spotlights emerging Indian artists on a global stage. The 2025 commission invited proposals for immersive installations inspired by BMW’s electric mobility lineup, centered around the theme of ‘Ecocentrism’—a vision where ecological and technological thinking coexist.

Winners Non-Linear (Dennis Peter) and Cursorama (Yash Chandak) will showcase Biolume, an interactive 180-degree multimedia experience inspired by bioluminescence. Divided into three dynamic scenes—The Surface, The Depths, and The Electric Abyss—the installation merges generative design and biomimicry, creating a glowing oceanic world that responds to audience movements.

Additionally, BMW will host the BMW Art Talk on 7 February 2025, titled ‘From Introspection to Impact: Artists Shaping the World’. Featuring artists Shirazeh Houshiary, Bharti Kher, and Pushpamala N., with moderator Prof. Dr. Thomas Girst, the discussion will explore the role of artists in shaping cultural discourse and fostering cross-border solidarity.
