Hyundai Motor, in collaboration with TVS, is exploring the development of futuristic mobility solutions, including an Electric Three-Wheeler Concept designed for India. The concept aims to reimagine India’s motor rickshaw into an eco-friendly, versatile vehicle for both passenger and logistics use, with a foldable seat for wheelchair users to enhance accessibility. It features an adjustable body height for navigating waterlogged streets and an angled windshield for improved visibility and safety.
The design prioritizes human-centered engineering with a flat floor, extended wheelbase, and large tires for comfort and smooth rideability. The vehicle also incorporates thoughtful design elements, such as a colour representing India’s aspirations, and materials like heat-reducing gloss black paint and water-resistant interiors suited to India’s climate.
Hyundai is focused on creating adaptable, modular, and sustainable solutions for last-mile connectivity, aligning with India’s infrastructure needs while emphasizing responsible innovation. The Four-Wheeler concept is still under review for potential global expansion.
