Volkswagen India completes 7th edition of annual Sarvottam Skill Contest

The Sarvottam Skill contest is a culmination of the applied knowledge & skills acquired through extensive training programs conducted for over 5,000 personnel across the 157 sales, 125 service touchpoints in 117 cities.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars India has announced the successful completion of its 7th edition of the annual Sarvottam Skill Contest. The upskilling, learning and development program focuses on recognizing and rewarding excellence among the sales and service team members within the Volkswagen India network. Top 15 colleagues are rewarded who have outperformed in customer experience, critical thinking & problem solving, technical skills, future technology readiness, time management and ensuring enhanced customer satisfaction.

Through the Sarvottam Skill Contest, team members operating in the Sales function are trained in product know-how, technological advancements within the product, soft skills and understanding customer requirements. The training module in Service is far more extensive, as it acts to provide the fundamental principles for technical problem solving, customer satisfaction and loyalty, thus ensuring our service advisors and technicians deliver on the Volkswagen promise of enhanced service and peace of mind ownership experience. The team undergoes an in-depth understanding of vehicle diagnostics & overhauling, technical knowledge, spare parts inventory management, IT and digital systems & processes and soft communication skills.

The Sarvottam Skill contest is a culmination of the applied knowledge & skills acquired through extensive training programs conducted for over 5,000 personnel across the 157 sales, 125 service touchpoints in 117 cities. It witnesses participation from team members across the categories of sales consultants, service technicians & advisors, parts managers and customer care team. The contest that began in August 2022 through online registration witnessed over 1500 entries. The entries were filtered to regional rounds where 250 individuals qualified and 52 regional toppers were identified and participated at the grand finale at Chakan, Pune. 15 National toppers were awarded as winners of the 7th Sarvottam Skill Contest and given the deserved recognition.
