Audi unveils the Audi A3 and introduces new crossover A3 allstreet

“The Audi A3 allstreet stands out from the rest of the A3 family from the very first impression,” says Stephan Fahr-Becker, Team Leader Exterior Design at AUDI AG.

Audi’s iconic A3 series receives a major upgrade, boasting a sportier design, extended standard features, and enhanced digital capabilities. The A3 allstreet, a distinctive crossover, joins the lineup with SUV-like driving dynamics and off-road aesthetics.

Audi introduces an extensive upgrade for the A3, featuring a sportier design, enhanced standard equipment, and advanced materials. The A3 allstreet, a new crossover model, offers an SUV-like driving experience with a distinctive off-road look and higher ground clearance. Notable features include selectable daytime running light signatures, up to four digital options, and an integrated Audi store for personalized digital experiences.

The A3’s exterior showcases a more dynamic design with a flatter and wider hexagonal Singleframe, while the allstreet model emphasizes its off-road character through unique design elements. It dominates the front end and, in addition to the large angular side air intakes, clearly symbolizes the compact models’ sporty character. The striking front spoiler connects the two intakes and makes the Audi A3 appear lower. The same is true of the rear, which is particularly sporty with its new bumper and distinctive diffuser. Partly inspired by the RS models, the progressive design elements are particularly effective when combined with the S line exterior. The new, expressive metallic finishes District Green, Ascari Blue and Progressive Red emphasize the dynamic look.

“The Audi A3 allstreet stands out from the rest of the A3 family from the very first impression,” says Stephan Fahr-Becker, Team Leader Exterior Design at AUDI AG. “As a crossover in the premium compact class, it has a completely unique look.

“The aim was to use specific design elements to emphasize the vehicle’s higher ground clearance even more clearly,” explains Fahr‑Becker.

The A3’s interior sees significant enhancements, with a sharper design, innovative air vents, and new decorative fabric inlays. Standard equipment is expanded, featuring a three-spoke leather steering wheel, air conditioning, ambient lighting, and a front center armrest. The A3 and A3 allstreet boast connectivity with DAB+ radio, a 10.1-inch touch display, Audi virtual cockpit, and inductive smartphone charging. Optional features include MMI navigation plus, connect services, and access to a store for apps, allowing users to customize their in-car experience. The A3 series offers flexibility with functions on demand, enabling the addition of up to five infotainment and comfort functions online.

Safety features include Audi pre sense front, collision avoidance, turn assist, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise assist with an assisted lane change function. Assistance systems for city driving and long journeys enhance safety and comfort.

In Europe, the A3 models will initially be available in two engine/transmission versions. The 35 TFSII with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine has an output of 110 kW (150 PS) and is offered as an automatic version with seven-speed S tronic and mild hybrid technology at launch. The 35 TDI is the diesel model with 110 kW (150 PS) and a seven-speed S tronic. Additional gasoline and diesel versions of the A3 Sportback and A3 Sedan will follow in the second quarter. A plug-in hybrid model will be added to the range at the end of the year.

All A3 models roll off the production line at the Audi’s Ingolstadt plant and will be available to order from March. The Sportback with 35 TFSI S tronic starts at 35,650 euros in Germany. The additional charge for the Sedan is 800 euros. The A3 allstreet with 35 TFSII and 110 kW (150 PS) starts at 37,450 euros.
