
GNA Energy, a digital over-the-counter platform specializing in electricity trading and power market intelligence, has appointed Ambrish Kumar Khare as Senior Executive Vice President. In his new role, Khare will lead business development initiatives, strengthen institutional partnerships, and support the company’s expansion across India’s evolving short-term power market ecosystem.
Khare brings nearly two decades of experience in the power sector, with expertise spanning energy trading, power procurement, market strategy, and energy management. A Post Graduate Diploma holder in Power Management from the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Faridabad, he joins GNA Energy from Power Exchange India Limited (PXIL), where he served as Vice President and Head of Business Development. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in expanding market share, increasing trading volumes, and managing strategic relationships across the power sector, including overseeing record single-day trading volumes on the exchange.
Prior to PXIL, Khare held leadership positions at GMR Energy Limited, Shree Cement, and Tata Power, gaining extensive experience across power procurement, project planning, and business strategy. His appointment is expected to strengthen GNA Energy’s efforts to scale its digital platform and enhance participation in India’s power markets.
GNA Energy operates as a technology-driven marketplace connecting electricity buyers and sellers while offering AI-powered analytics and decision-support tools for power distribution companies, generators, and other market participants.
