JK Tyre appoints Mandar V Deo as President – India Operations

Deo brings over two decades of experience across automotive and industrial sectors, having previously held senior roles at Cummins and Exide Energy Solutions.

JK Tyre & Industries has appointed Mandar V Deo as President – India Operations, effective immediately. He will report to Dr. Raghupati Singhania and Anshuman Singhania and will be based in New Delhi.

Deo, 50, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune, along with a Master’s degree and PhD from Pennsylvania State University. He also completed his MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

He brings over two decades of leadership experience, having previously held senior roles at Exide Energy Solutions Limited, Cummins India and Cummins Inc..

Welcoming the appointment, Dr. Raghupati Singhania said he is confident that Deo’s leadership will help steer JK Tyre toward its next phase of growth.

JK Tyre & Industries ranks among the world’s top 20 tyre manufacturers and operates 11 manufacturing facilities across India and Mexico, with a combined annual production capacity of over 35 million tyres. The company distributes its products in more than 105 countries under the JK Tyre, Vikrant and Tornel brands.

The company introduced radial tyre technology to India in 1977 and operates the Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence in Mysore, a research and technology facility equipped with advanced testing infrastructure.

JK Tyre has also strengthened its sustainability commitments, becoming the first Indian tyre manufacturer to join the RE100, pledging to source 100 percent of its electricity requirements from renewable energy by 2050.
