Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region has appointed Puneet Kaura as its Chairperson for the 2026–27 term. Kaura currently serves as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Samtel Avionics. The announcement was made during the organisation’s annual regional meeting held on 16 April in New Delhi, alongside The Future India Summit, which carried the theme “Navigating Change. Driving Growth.”
Shradha Suri Marwah, Chairperson and Managing Director of Subros Ltd, has been named Deputy Chairperson. Together, the leadership team will oversee CII Northern Region operations across seven states — Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh — along with the Union Territories of Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
During the meeting, Kaura outlined six strategic priorities for the Northern Region for the coming year, including policy advocacy, technology and innovation enablement, MSME growth and competitiveness, skill development, sustainability and community engagement, and enhanced membership engagement.
CII Northern Region operates as a non-government, not-for-profit body focused on fostering an environment conducive to industrial growth. The organisation works closely with government authorities and civil society through advisory and consultative initiatives aimed at supporting India’s industrial and economic development.
