Prior to joining Tenneco, he served as the India CEO for the Aliaxis Group.

“India remains a vital growth engine for Tenneco,” said Jim Voss, CEO of Tenneco. “Arvind’s leadership, global outlook, and deep knowledge of the Indian automotive landscape will accelerate our growth, drive innovation, and strengthen value delivery for our customers and partners in the region.”

Tenneco India’s President, Rishi Verma, will now report directly to CEO Arvind Chandra while continuing to manage daily operations. Under Chandra’s leadership, Tenneco aims to accelerate growth, foster innovation in lightweight and cost-effective solutions, and position India as a global manufacturing and excellence hub.

Tenneco has been expanding its presence in India over the past decade, as the country becomes increasingly important in the global automotive supply chain. India’s automotive components industry reached a turnover of $57 billion in the 2023-24 fiscal year, contributing around 2.3% to GDP. Tenneco operates several manufacturing facilities in India, serving both domestic and international customers across its various business groups.
