
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal met with senior leadership of Nippon Paint Holdings Co., Ltd. and Nippon Paint India Managing Director Sharad Malhotra during his four-day visit to Japan.
The meeting focused on strengthening India-Japan collaboration in the paints and coatings industry, while also exploring opportunities arising from India’s growing manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
The interaction formed part of a wider series of engagements during Goyal’s visit, aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between India and Japan under the two countries’ Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
The discussions highlighted the potential for greater industry cooperation as India continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities and infrastructure development. Nippon Paint’s engagement with the Indian market also reflects its continued focus on supporting the country’s long-term growth and industrial development.

The Nippon Paint leadership delegation, led by Mr. Yuichiro Wakatsuki, Director, Representative Executive Officer & Co-President of Nippon Paint Holdings Co. Ltd., and Mr. Sharad Malhotra, Managing Director, Nippon Paint (India) Group, outlined its continued investment and growth commitment to the Indian market.
