BCIC elects S Devarajan, Sr. VP, TVS Motor, as president

The Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) hosted its 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 29th July with the theme: ‘Namma Karnataka, The Gateway to Future India’. The AGM elected S Devarajan, who currently serves as the Senior Vice President at TVS Motor Company Ltd, as the new President of BCIC. He will take over the reins from the incumbent president L Ravindran.

In his current role, he is facilitating the implementation of new process technology, lean manufacturing systems, digital manufacturing, TPM and JIT across the company.

The Incumbent Vice President, BCIC, and Director, Brigade Hospitality, and Managing Director, World Trade Center, Bangalore, Vineet Verma, was elevated as Senior Vice President, BCIC. BCIC will elect the new Vice President Designate at the earliest, the release said. The AGM was graced by past presidents, along with other eminent dignitaries from various industry sectors.

In his Presidential address, L Ravindran highlighted BCIC’s achievements over the past year, emphasizing the chamber’s pivotal role in facilitating a conducive business environment and representing the interests of the industry across various forums. S Devarajan, President Designate BCIC, expressed his gratitude for being entrusted with the responsibility to lead BCIC and committed to carrying forward the organization’s mission of fostering economic prosperity and innovation.

With the appointment of the new team, Vineet Verma opined that BCIC remains dedicated to its vision of driving progress and facilitating sustainable economic growth in the region. In conjunction with the Annual General Meeting, BCIC also unveiled its Annual Report 2022-23. reflecting the organization’s achievements and milestones over the last year. BCIC also felicitated outstanding achievers who made remarkable contributions in their respective fields.
