Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded total sales of 51,335 units in June 2026, comprising 39,635 units in the domestic market and 11,700 units in exports.
Commenting on the company’s June 2026 performance and referring to its earlier disclosures to the stock exchanges on June 1 and June 10, 2026, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, said that the company delivered total monthly sales of 51,335 units despite a temporary production setback caused by a fire at one of its supplier’s manufacturing facilities.
The incident resulted in a production loss of approximately 13,900 units during the month. However, HMIL swiftly implemented contingency measures, including sourcing automotive components from alternate locations, to minimise the impact on production.
Garg confirmed that production operations across all HMIL facilities resumed normalcy from June 22, 2026. He also expressed confidence that the company would recover the lost production volume during the second quarter of FY2026-27.
