
Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), reinforced its commitment to inclusivity and social empowerment through the distribution of 80 advanced motorized wheelchairs to persons with disabilities in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad and Meerut districts, as part of its ‘Samarth by Hyundai’ initiative.
The handover ceremony was attended by Shri Laxmikant Bajpai, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), along with Mr. Jeongick Lee, Function Head – Corporate Affairs, Mr. Puneet Anand – AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communication & Social at HMIL, and other dignitaries.
A total of 80 wheelchairs—40 each in Ghaziabad and Meerut—were distributed, enhancing mobility, dignity, and independence for the recipients. Each wheelchair offers a range of up to 15 kilometers, supporting users in performing daily tasks with greater convenience and autonomy.
