Suzuki has revealed the 2025 XBEE compact crossover hatchback at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025. Pronounced CrossBee, the model has been part of Suzuki’s domestic lineup since 2017, and the Tokyo showcase marks its first major facelift, featuring updated styling and mechanical enhancements.
Suzuki XBEE 2025: Dimensions, Platform, and Powertrain
The refreshed Suzuki XBEE rides on Suzuki’s Heartect modular platform, also used in several Maruti Suzuki models in India. With a length of 3,750mm and a 2,435mm wheelbase, the XBEE maintains a compact footprint similar to the Maruti Celerio. Power comes from the Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, also found in the latest Swift and Dzire in India. In Japan, the XBEE is offered exclusively with a CVT gearbox powering the front wheels.
Suzuki XBEE 2025: Exterior and Interior Updates
The 2025 facelift gives the XBEE a sharper, more premium look while retaining its boxy, upright silhouette. Updates include round LED headlamps, a revised grille with silver accents, and chunkier body cladding for a more SUV-like presence.
Inside, the cabin has been refreshed with a new steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a floating-style center console. The infotainment screen sits high on the dash, reminiscent of the Jimny, and clever storage solutions enhance practicality throughout the cabin.
India Launch Prospects
Currently, the Suzuki XBEE remains exclusive to Japan, with no confirmed plans for an India launch. However, given its size, platform, and powertrain, a model like the XBEE could compete with vehicles like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter if introduced in the Indian market.
