Mahindra Electric SUVs Celebrate First Anniversary with 30,000 Units Sold

Mahindra is celebrating the first anniversary of its electric SUVs — XEV 9e and BE 6 — with 30,000+ units sold in just seven months, marking a strong shift towards premium electric mobility in India

Mahindra Electric marks one year since the launch of its XUV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs, achieving over 30,000 units sold within just seven months of market availability. During H1 FY26, the company secured the number one position in revenue market share for its EV division, generating over ₹8,000 crore, which equates to approximately one vehicle sold every 10 minutes.

The SUVs have demonstrated strong adoption among owners, with over 65% being used daily and more than 1,000 units surpassing 20,000 km. Collectively, Mahindra EVs have logged over 200 million kilometers, performing across diverse Indian conditions from 4°C to 53°C. Notably, 30% of owners have completed single-day trips exceeding 400 km, and around 60% of vehicles achieve city ranges over 500 km.

The customer base reflects a shift toward first-time Mahindra buyers, with 80% of owners being new to the brand, driven by the appeal to urban professionals and tech-savvy consumers. The BE 6 attracted attention through gaming collaborations with BGMI and a limited-edition Batman variant, which sold out within two minutes of launch.

Mahindra’s EV launch campaign garnered over 4 billion views, making the XUV 9e and BE 6 some of the most discussed vehicles in India this year. Founded in 1945, Mahindra operates across sectors including farm equipment, utility vehicles, IT, and financial services, with 324,000 employees in over 100 countries.
