The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has successfully concluded the 13th edition of EXCON 2025, South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition, held from December 9–13, 2025, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The event set new benchmarks in scale and participation, reinforcing its position as the third-largest construction equipment exhibition globally.
Spanning 3.5 million sq. ft., EXCON 2025 hosted over 1,250 exhibitors, including 134 international participants from 20 countries, and attracted nearly 1.2 lakh business visitors. The exhibition featured seven international pavilions from France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Turkey, China and the UK, along with more than 300 product launches and live machinery demonstrations.
EXCON 2025 witnessed strong business momentum, with extensive B2B engagements, order bookings and technology partnerships, reflecting industry confidence supported by India’s ₹11.21 lakh crore infrastructure allocation for FY2025–26.
Speaking at the event, R. Mukundan, President Designate, CII and Chairman, EXCON 2025, said the exhibition showcased forward-looking innovations, particularly in sustainability, green energy and low-emission technologies, highlighting the sector’s readiness for future growth.
Themed “Building India’s Tomorrow”, EXCON 2025 focused on next-generation technologies including AI, IoT, automation, electric and hybrid equipment, and green construction solutions. Conferences and knowledge sessions addressed skill development, safety, decarbonisation, and alignment with national initiatives such as PM Gati Shakti, Bharatmala, Smart Cities and high-speed rail projects, fostering collaboration across OEMs, contractors, SMEs, startups and policymakers.
Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII, noted that the strong participation and growing international engagement reflect the construction equipment sector’s increasing maturity and alignment with India’s long-term economic and sustainability goals.
Calling EXCON the “festival of construction equipment,” Deepak Shetty, Co-Chairman, EXCON 2025, said India—currently the world’s third-largest construction equipment market—has the potential to rise to second place within the next five years.
EXCON 2025 reinforced the industry’s push towards accelerated mechanisation, targeting a $25 billion construction equipment market by 2030, expanding exports to over 135 countries, and strengthening Bengaluru’s emergence as a global construction technology hub supporting India’s vision of a $30 trillion economy by 2047.
