Sonalika Tractors posts record December sales of 12,392 units

Sonalika Tractors closed 2025 on a strong note, recording its highest-ever December sales of 12,392 units. The performance was supported by expanded Rabi sowing, positive farmer sentiment, and rising adoption of farm mechanisation across India.

Sonalika Tractors has recorded its highest-ever December sales, dispatching 12,392 tractors during the month and marking a strong close to calendar year 2025. The performance represents a key milestone for the company amid improving agricultural sentiment across India.

The sales growth comes against the backdrop of an expanded Rabi sowing area compared with the previous year, reflecting favourable on-ground conditions. Company officials noted that farmer confidence remains upbeat, supported by healthy crop outlooks and the continued adoption of farm mechanisation.

Commenting on the performance, Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director, International Tractors Limited, said the results underscore Sonalika’s focus on developing tractors tailored to diverse Indian farming requirements. The company positions its portfolio as technology-enabled solutions aimed at improving productivity, operational efficiency, and long-term value for farmers.

Sonalika manufactures its tractors at its Hoshiarpur facility and markets them through a wide domestic dealer network. The company stated that it has served more than 1.8 million farmers and continues to hold the position of India’s largest tractor exporter by volume.

The strong December showing caps a year marked by several operational and business milestones for the brand. Looking ahead to 2026, Sonalika reiterated its commitment to advancing farm mechanisation solutions that support sustainable agricultural practices.

Industry performance remains closely linked to rural demand dynamics, monsoon behaviour, and government agricultural policies that influence farmer purchasing power and investment in farm equipment.
