MG Windsor EV sees 70% sales from Non-Metro Cities; 65,000 units sold in India

MG Windsor continues to gain traction across India, with 70% of its sales coming from non-metro cities. With over 65,000 units sold, the EV’s strong value proposition, innovative pricing, and premium features are making electric mobility more accessible than ever.

JSW MG Motor India has sold over 65,000 units of the MG Windsor to date, with a notable 70% of total sales coming from non-metro markets. Key metro cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai account for the remaining 30%, reflecting a clear shift in EV adoption across the broader Indian market.

The company attributes this growing acceptance in smaller cities to increasing awareness and the cost benefits associated with electric vehicles. As India’s best-selling EV, the MG Windsor’s strong traction in non-metro regions highlights evolving consumer preferences and the expanding footprint of electric mobility nationwide.

According to the carmaker, the MG Windsor’s compelling value proposition has struck a chord with customers, particularly first-time buyers in these regions.
