Varroc Engineering appoints Avijit Roy as Group CHRO

Avijit Roy to lead global HR strategy and talent transformation as Varroc expands across key markets

Varroc Engineering Limited has appointed Avijit Roy as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April 10, 2026. In his new role, Roy will report to Arjun Jain, Whole-Time Director and CEO – Business I, and will lead the company’s group-wide HR strategy, with a focus on strengthening organisational capabilities, fostering a high-performance culture, and accelerating talent transformation as Varroc expands across India and key global markets.

Roy succeeds Kavita Kulkarni, who served as Group CHRO for the past seven years. During her tenure, Kulkarni played a pivotal role in shaping Varroc’s people strategy, spearheading initiatives in talent development, leadership building, and workforce planning, which contributed to strengthening the company’s organisational resilience and global talent pipeline.

Commenting on the appointment, Arjun Jain said that Roy brings a proven track record of building agile, future-ready organisations and aligning talent strategies with evolving business priorities across diverse environments. He added that Roy’s leadership will support Varroc’s next phase of growth by ensuring sustainability from a people perspective.

Avijit Roy said he is joining Varroc at a defining moment in its transformation journey and aims to build a future-ready organisation where human insight and evolving technologies work together.

Roy brings over 27 years of experience across the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining Varroc, he served at the Aditya Birla Group as Senior Vice President – Global Human Resources, where he led people strategy and transformation initiatives across 14 countries and 19 locations.
