Škoda Auto has reached a major production milestone with the rollout of its one-millionth Karoq from the company’s Kvasiny manufacturing plant in the Czech Republic. The milestone vehicle is a Graphite Grey Škoda Karoq 1.5 TSI (110 kW).
Introduced in 2017, the Karoq has become one of Škoda’s most successful SUV models, earning widespread customer acceptance for its spacious cabin, practicality and versatile powertrain options. The model has also received several international honours, including the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design.
Commenting on the achievement, Andreas Dick, Board Member responsible for Production and Logistics at Škoda Auto, said the one-million-unit milestone reflects the dedication of employees at the Kvasiny plant and the strong collaboration with the company’s long-standing social partner, KOVO.
Today, the Karoq is the third best-selling SUV in Škoda Auto’s global portfolio, which now comprises 14 model series, including nine SUV models. Available in around 60 international markets, the SUV offers a choice of petrol and diesel powertrains, with outputs ranging from 85 kW to 140 kW, along with front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. Nearly 73% of buyers opt for the automatic transmission, while Germany, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom remain its largest markets.
Škoda Auto confirmed that the next-generation Karoq is scheduled to make its global debut around the turn of 2027 and 2028.
The Karoq continues to play a key role at the Kvasiny plant, which also manufactures the Octavia and Kodiaq. In 2025, the facility recorded its highest-ever annual production of 301,500 Škoda vehicles, following the expansion of Kodiaq production and the addition of the Octavia to its manufacturing programme. The Octavia Combi has also been produced at the plant since May 2026.
As one of the largest employers in the region, the Kvasiny facility is undergoing continuous modernisation to improve manufacturing flexibility and efficiency. Škoda Auto is also upgrading the plant’s paint shop this year to enhance quality standards and support the use of more advanced paint technologies.
