Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. officially launched the all-new Elgrand in Japan on July 16, with sales already underway. The latest generation of Nissan’s flagship premium minivan was first unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, previewing the brand’s newest advancements in electrified technology and premium people-mover design.
Designed to combine spacious cabin comfort with refined driving dynamics, the all-new Elgrand introduces several of Nissan’s latest electrification and chassis technologies. The premium MPV is powered by the third-generation e-POWER hybrid system and features the enhanced e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive control technology, delivering improved performance, stability and efficiency.
The new Elgrand also incorporates Intelligent Dynamic Suspension, which enhances ride comfort and handling for both drivers and passengers. Together, these technologies are designed to deliver a smoother, more engaging grand touring experience while reinforcing the Elgrand’s long-standing reputation for comfort, practicality and enjoyable driving.
The all-new Nissan Elgrand adopts the design concept “The Private MAGLEV,” blending futuristic styling with a commanding road presence. Larger than its predecessor, the premium minivan features Nissan’s “Timeless Japanese Futurism” design language, highlighted by a Kumiko-inspired front grille, full-width LED lighting, new alloy wheels and five exterior colour options. Inside, the cabin is designed as a private lounge with a 14.3-inch integrated display, 64-colour ambient lighting and premium TailorFit™ upholstery.
Powering the new Elgrand is Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER hybrid system, paired with an enhanced e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive system. The new 5-in-1 electric powertrain delivers improved fuel efficiency, quieter operation and smoother performance, while Intelligent Dynamic Suspension further enhances ride comfort. Drivers can choose from six drive modes—ECO, Standard, Sport, Comfort, Snow and Personal—to suit different driving conditions.
Passenger comfort has been significantly enhanced with Zero Gravity seats across all rows, a larger cabin, Smooth Stop braking technology, world-first Advanced Active Noise Control and an optional Bose 22-speaker premium audio system. Practical features include a dual Qi2 wireless charger, three 100V power outlets, flexible third-row seating, generous cargo space capable of accommodating seven carry-on suitcases, and improved accessibility through low-step sliding doors and a half-open door function.
The all-new Elgrand also comes equipped with Nissan’s latest ProPILOT driver assistance technologies, including Traffic Jam Hands-Off Mode, Lane Change Support, ProPILOT Park, Intelligent Around View Monitor and Intelligent Distance Control. The NissanConnect infotainment system now integrates Google built-in, while new connected services such as Mimamori Drive enable owners to monitor vehicle location, speed and driving status remotely, further enhancing convenience and safety.
