Escorts Kubota launches MU4502 and MU5002 Tractors with 8-Year Transferable Warranty

Escorts Kubota has launched the 45hp MU4502 and 50hp MU5002 tractors in India, featuring 4WD, Kubota KQP4 engines and an eight-year transferable warranty.

Escorts Kubota has launched the Kubota MU4502 and MU5002 tractors in India, expanding its premium tractor portfolio in the 41-50hp segment. The MU4502 develops 45hp, while the MU5002 produces 50hp.

A key highlight of the new tractors is an eight-year transferable warranty, which Escorts Kubota describes as an industry-first. According to the company, the warranty remains valid even when ownership of the tractor changes, potentially supporting its resale value.

Escorts Kubota MU4502 and MU5002: Specifications and Features

Both tractors are powered by Kubota’s KQP4 Japanese engine and are equipped with a 12F + 4R Multi-Speed Synchromesh gearbox.

The tractors also feature Pompa Lift with Dual Stabilizer Spring (DSS) technology, which is designed to maintain implement stability and consistent working depth when operating on uneven terrain.

Other features include:

  • Full LED lighting
  • Covered flat-deck platform
  • Bucket seat
  • Suspended pedals
  • Double-acting power steering
  • Ergonomically positioned controls
  • Balancer shaft for reduced vibration

The MU4502 and MU5002 are compatible with a wide range of primary and secondary tillage implements, including super seeders, seed drills, potato planters, mini round balers and cultivators.

They are designed for applications involving crops such as paddy, wheat, maize, pulses and soyabean, while also supporting haulage and other commercial operations.

A reverse PTO is available for applications including rotavators and straw reapers. Escorts Kubota says the tractors are suitable for farms with landholdings of five acres and above and will be available across India.

MU4502 and MU5002 Join Kubota’s Premium Tractor Range

Escorts Kubota operates three tractor brands in India — Farmtrac, Powertrac and Kubota — covering entry-premium, value and premium segments respectively.

The new MU4502 and MU5002 have been positioned within the Kubota premium tractor range. Following their introduction, the MU series now includes the MU4201, MU4501, MU4502, MU5002 and MU5502.

Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Escorts Kubota, said the new tractors are targeted at progressive farmers, existing tractor owners looking to upgrade, contract farming operators and custom hiring businesses.

He noted that the 41-50hp category is among the largest and most important segments of India’s tractor market.

New 8-Year Transferable Warranty

The eight-year transferable warranty is one of the major differentiators of the new MU4502 and MU5002.

According to Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Tractor Division, the warranty remains with the tractor even if ownership changes. The company expects this feature to support the vehicles’ resale value and provide additional assurance to customers.

Chugh also described the MU4502 and MU5002 as 4WD tractors, highlighting their suitability for demanding agricultural and multi-application operations.

With the new models, Escorts Kubota is targeting customers seeking tractors capable of handling farming, haulage and other commercial applications, while offering a longer ownership proposition through the transferable warranty.
