The Porsche Cayenne Electric will officially debut in India on September 30, with two variants, a claimed range of up to 642km and power output of up to 1,156hp.
Porsche is set to officially debut the Cayenne Electric in India on September 30. The all-electric SUV will be offered in two variants — Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric — and will sit at the top of Porsche’s growing electric vehicle portfolio in the Indian market.
The Cayenne Electric is priced from ₹1.76 crore (ex-showroom) in India. It will compete with luxury electric SUVs such as the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron and Lotus Eletre.
Porsche Cayenne Electric: Battery, Performance and Range
Both variants use a 113kWh battery pack and feature dual electric motors with all-wheel drive.
The standard Cayenne Electric produces 408hp and 835Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100kph in 4.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 230kph. Porsche claims a maximum range of 642km.
The performance-focused Cayenne Turbo Electric develops 1,156hp and 1,150Nm. It can sprint from 0-100kph in just 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 260kph and a claimed range of 623km.
Both variants get adaptive air suspension as standard, while rear-axle steering is available as an option.
Porsche says the Cayenne Electric can recover energy at up to 600kW through regenerative braking, depending on factors including vehicle speed, battery temperature and state of charge. The electric motors can handle up to 97 percent of braking, according to the automaker.
The Cayenne Electric is also Porsche’s first model to offer an optional 11kW wireless charging system.
Porsche Cayenne Electric: Exterior Design and Dimensions
While the Cayenne Electric retains the familiar proportions and silhouette of the combustion-engined Cayenne, it features a significantly redesigned front end. The conventional grille has been replaced by a closed-off design, while air vents on either side of the bumper help cool the battery and electrical components.
The SUV also gets active aerodynamic vents integrated into the lower bumpers, gloss-black lower cladding and 20- to 22-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear, the Cayenne Electric features a full-width LED light bar with illuminated Porsche lettering. The Turbo Electric gets a body-coloured skid plate, while the standard version uses a black finish.
Measuring 4,985mm in length, the electric Cayenne is 55mm longer than its ICE counterpart and has a 3,023mm wheelbase. It is 1,980mm wide and 1,674mm tall.
The SUV offers a 90-litre frunk and a 781-litre boot, with luggage capacity increasing to 1,588 litres when the powered rear seats are folded.
Porsche Cayenne Electric: Interior and Features
Inside, the Cayenne Electric features a digital driver’s display and a 14.5-inch curved infotainment touchscreen. Porsche says this setup will make the Cayenne Electric the first model in its India line-up to feature this configuration.
Customers can also opt for a 14.9-inch passenger display and an augmented-reality head-up display.
Other equipment includes eight-way electrically adjustable front seats, with optional 18-way adjustment, four-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and wireless smartphone charging.
A 14-speaker Bose audio system is offered as standard, while buyers can upgrade to a 20-speaker Harman Kardon system.

The Porsche Cayenne Electric starts at ₹1.76 crore (ex-showroom) in India, while the more powerful Cayenne Turbo Electric will sit higher in the range.
With its combination of high performance, long claimed range and luxury features, the Cayenne Electric will take on rivals including the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron and Lotus Eletre in India’s premium electric SUV segment.
