Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reaffirmed its commitment to advancing sustainable mobility by inaugurating Public 120 kW DC fast-charging stations in New Delhi on World EV Day 2026. The newly inaugurated charging stations will offer EV users convenient access to fast-charging facilities, helping reduce charging time and enhancing confidence in electric vehicle ownership. By strengthening public charging availability in the National Capital Region, HMIL continues to contribute towards building a robust EV charging network for customers and the broader EV community.
Recognising that the transition to electric mobility extends beyond the introduction of new products, HMIL is fostering a robust electric mobility ecosystem in India. Hyundai is expanding access to reliable, high-speed charging infrastructure while simultaneously promoting EV awareness and skill development initiatives to support the growing demand for specialized capabilities in the electric mobility sector.

HMIL’s current EV portfolio comprises the IONIQ 5 and the CRETA Electric, with plans to introduce a dedicated localized SUV EV soon.
How is HMIL Expanding Access to Convenient EV Charging?
Marking World EV Day, HMIL has inaugurated 120 kW DC fast-charging stations in Delhi in partnership with Statiq. The stations are accessible through the myHyundai app and other major charging platforms. Hyundai EV owners can also avail complimentary charging from September 9 to 11, 2026, at HMIL-owned public charging stations via the myHyundai app.
HMIL currently operates 185 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities and plans to expand its proprietary network to 600 stations by 2030. Its charging solutions range from 60 kW to 240 kW, while the myHyundai app provides access to more than 38,000 charging points across brands, along with station discovery, navigation, advance booking and digital payments.
How is HMIL Building Specialised EV Service Capabilities?
HMIL has trained more than 2,600 dealership personnel in EV service functions and plans to train an additional 5,000 by the end of FY2026-27. The company has delivered around 16,000 person-days of EV service training and invested approximately Rs 2 crore in making its training centres EV-ready.
Training covers high-voltage safety, EV diagnostics, battery handling and specialised repairs, supported by EV-ready workshops equipped with insulated tools, PPE kits, chargers, battery-handling trolleys and specialised service tools.
How is HMIL Preparing Its Sales Network for Upcoming EVs?
HMIL has trained more than 10,000 sales personnel and targets 17,000+ trained personnel by the end of FY2026-27. The training focuses on EV technology, charging requirements, vehicle capabilities and ownership considerations, helping dealership teams provide informed guidance to customers.
Through its expanded charging infrastructure, EV-ready service network and trained sales and service personnel, HMIL is working to make EV ownership more accessible, convenient and reassuring for customers across India.
