Renault India has expanded the Triber lineup with the launch of the new Triber 100PS, marking the debut of the company’s Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP) architecture in India. Priced from Rs 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom), the Triber 100PS combines the model’s established seven-seat versatility with a re-engineered vehicle architecture, a 100 PS turbocharged powertrain and enhanced driving dynamics.
The new model is aimed at buyers looking for stronger performance while retaining the practicality and flexibility of a compact seven-seater. It also combines turbocharged performance with fuel efficiency and the sub-4-metre classification, which offers associated tax benefits in India.
With the introduction of the RGEP platform, Renault India is also laying the foundation for a new generation of products tailored to the Indian market. The Triber 100PS builds on the brand’s modular seven-seater formula while adding a more powerful powertrain and updated vehicle engineering.
Renault India’s First RGEP Product
The Triber 100PS becomes Renault India’s first vehicle built on the new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP), a highly adaptable architecture developed to support future mobility requirements and multiple powertrain solutions. Designed for evolving regulatory requirements as well as customer expectations, RGEP provides the foundation for enhanced performance and improved ride & handling characteristics.
Notably, the Triber 100PS is not merely a powertrain upgrade but a comprehensively re-engineered vehicle around the new platform architecture with extensive developments across engine management, thermal systems, chassis tuning and structural integration to deliver holistic driving experience.
Engineered from Scratch
The Triber 100PS is powered by Renault’s turbocharged TCe 100 engine, producing 100 PS and 180 Nm of torque. An all-new Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS) works alongside the powertrain to enhance performance, responsiveness and efficiency.
The vehicle also gets a comprehensively reworked engineering package, including advanced thermal management, structural enhancements for improved durability and crash performance, revised suspension geometry, front and rear anti-roll bars, MTV Damper Technology and optimized braking calibration.
Renault has further tuned the vehicle dynamics specifically for Indian road conditions, aiming to deliver improved ride, handling and overall driving confidence.
A key element of the thermal-management system used in the Triber 100PS is the adoption of a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) cooling fan, a technology more commonly associated with higher-category vehicles, including hybrid and electric vehicles. The BLDC system enables more precise cooling management, improved energy efficiency and enhanced thermal performance, contributing to both drivability and fuel-efficiency optimization.
The Triber 100PS delivers a compelling balance of performance and efficiency. Its power output and torque delivery put Triber 100PS among the strongest petrol offerings in its class while achieving certified 21 kmpl fuel efficiency.
Together, these enhancements create a more planted, stable, and confidence-inspiring driving experience while preserving the everyday usability that defines the Triber.

Many Lives, One Car
The Triber 100PS retains its versatile 5, 6- and 7-seat configurations, with Easy-Fix third-row seats, slide-and-recline second-row seats, one-touch tumble access and multiple seating and luggage arrangements.
With its sub-four-metre length and 1.0-litre petrol engine, the Triber 100PS qualifies for the 18% GST rate applicable to small petrol cars. Renault has sold more than 2.5 lakh Triber units in India.
Comfort, Convenience and Safety
Depending on the variant, the Triber 100PS features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital LED instrument cluster, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless charging, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps.
Independent rear air-conditioning with vents for the second and third rows further enhances cabin comfort. Safety features include six airbags and 21 safety features as standard, with higher variants offering front parking sensors, a rear-view camera and TPMS.
Supporting Renault’s futuREady India Strategy
The Triber 100PS is part of Renault India’s futuREady India roadmap, which focuses on new products, advanced architectures and globally proven technologies tailored for Indian customers. It is also the first Renault vehicle in India based on the Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP).
