Mercedes-Benz India has received more than 650 Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the upcoming Electric GLC within 36 hours of opening registrations on October 5, 2026. The strong initial response comes ahead of the SUV’s scheduled India launch on November 4, 2026.

The Electric GLC will be locally manufactured at Mercedes-Benz India’s production facility in Chakan, Maharashtra. The GLC 400 4MATIC will be the locally produced variant, with customer deliveries expected to commence from mid-November 2026.

Mercedes-Benz India said the 650-plus EOIs were received within 36 hours of registrations opening. The company will continue accepting EOIs for subsequent batches through its authorised franchise partners and official website.

The Electric GLC will become the first Mercedes-Benz SUV in India to feature the company’s next-generation electric vehicle architecture. Local production at the Chakan facility is expected to further strengthen Mercedes-Benz India’s electric vehicle portfolio.

Commenting on the response, Brendon Sissing, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India, said that receiving more than 650 EOIs ahead of the SUV’s market launch reflects strong initial customer interest in the Electric GLC.

Mercedes-Benz India has not yet announced the launch price of the Electric GLC.

The Mercedes-Benz Electric GLC will make its India debut on November 4, 2026, while customer deliveries are scheduled to begin from mid-November. Customers who have registered their interest will receive updates regarding their order status and indicative delivery timelines. EOIs will remain open for subsequent batches of the electric SUV.
