Zelio E-Mobility plans 150+ new dealerships across South India by FY27

Zelio E-Mobility plans to add more than 150 dealerships across South India by FY27, taking its overall retail network to 550+ outlets as it expands its electric two- and three-wheeler presence.

Zelio E-Mobility, an electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, is planning to add more than 150 new dealerships across South India by FY27 as it looks to expand its retail network and accelerate EV adoption across the region.

The expansion will focus on five key South Indian markets. Tamil Nadu will be a major focus, with the company targeting around 40 new dealerships. Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are each expected to see approximately 30 new dealerships.

In Telangana, where Zelio currently has around 15 dealerships, the company plans to expand its network to approximately 30 outlets over the long term.

The planned expansion is part of Zelio E-Mobility’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in key regional markets and make its electric two- and three-wheelers more accessible to customers across South India.

With an existing network of 400+ dealers across 25+ states, the planned expansion will take Zelio’s overall dealership network to 550+ outlets by FY27. The company sees a wider and stronger retail network as an important part of its next phase of growth, particularly as EV adoption moves beyond early-adopter markets and increasingly depends on product accessibility, local customer engagement and dependable after-sales support.

Commenting on the expansion, Kunal Arya, Managing Director, Zelio E-Mobility, said, “The next phase of electric mobility will be shaped not only by product innovation, but by how effectively the industry understands and responds to customers at the local level. South India represents a large and important market for electric mobility, with a growing base of well-informed customers who are increasingly discerning about technology, ownership experience, value and after-sales support. This makes the region both an important opportunity and a market that demands a more thoughtful approach to customer engagement.”

“Our focus is therefore on creating stronger relationships with our dealer partners and giving them the capabilities, products and support needed to build lasting customer trust. We believe that companies that stay closest to the customer and respond to evolving expectations will be best placed to participate in the deeper adoption of electric mobility that lies ahead,” he added.

The South India expansion follows the opening of Zelio’s new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, strengthening the company’s operational capabilities in the region. Spread across approximately 39,000 sq. ft., the facility will support electric scooter assembly, storage, logistics and allied business operations. The facility is expected to provide greater operational support as Zelio expands its retail footprint across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring South Indian markets.

The company’s dealer expansion comes alongside continued growth in its business operations. Zelio E-Mobility recorded revenue of ₹313.68 crore in FY2025–26, an 81.8% year-on-year increase, while its revenue has registered a CAGR of 121% over the last four years. The company has remained profitable since inception. Following its BSE SME listing in October 2025, through which it raised ₹78.34 crore, Zelio has been expanding its manufacturing capacity, dealer network and workforce.
