SUN Mobility has appointed Satish Sundaresan as its Chief Executive Officer, the company announced on Thursday. In his new role, Sundaresan will oversee global engineering, hardware manufacturing and sourcing operations, including the production of smart batteries, quick interchange stations and software platforms for domestic and international markets.
Sundaresan brings more than 25 years of experience across the automotive technology, software and electronics manufacturing sectors. Before joining SUN Mobility, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Lumax Auto Technologies, where he led electronics manufacturing. His previous leadership roles include positions at Elektrobit India, Mercedes-Benz and Bosch.
Commenting on his appointment, Sundaresan said his priorities would include improving the speed, reliability and affordability of battery and station production while advancing the company’s technology.
He added that SUN Mobility would continue to develop its battery-swapping platform to make it more flexible, cost-effective and future-ready as the company enters its next phase of growth.
