Bijliride, an electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem and urban mobility platform, has partnered with Flipkart Minutes, Flipkart’s quick-commerce service, to support sustainable last-mile delivery operations across major urban markets ahead of the festive season.
Under the partnership, Bijliride will deploy electric two-wheelers in phases across five key markets: Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune. The initiative aims to support Flipkart Minutes’ last-mile delivery operations while promoting the use of electric mobility in urban logistics.
Rather than adopting a rigid, static fleet allocation, the deployment leverages an agile, demand-led operational model. Fleet volume scales dynamically to match surge delivery volumes and rider onboarding requirements, supporting Flipkart’s broader push toward 100% electric mobility by 2030 and integrating seamlessly with Flipkart’s EV Assist initiative.
With a deployed footprint exceeding 6,000 electric vehicles nationwide, Bijliride is addressing one of the most critical challenges facing the quick commerce sector: vehicle downtime. Bijliride provides a comprehensive, full-stack ecosystem that integrates flexible commercial rental plans, battery swapping and doorstep battery delivery, dedicated fleet maintenance, 24/7 on-road assistance, and telematics-driven fleet management technology.
“Accelerating EV adoption in commercial logistics is not simply about putting more electric two-wheelers on the road; it requires building a reliable, full-stack operational engine around those vehicles,” said Shivam Sisodiya, Founder & CEO of Bijliride. “In quick commerce, vehicle uptime directly impacts a delivery partner’s livelihood. Our partnership with Flipkart Minutes is engineered to make green mobility practical, commercially viable, and scalable. By providing robust on-road support, battery infrastructure, and accessible rentals, we are ensuring that electric logistics delivers tangible economic value to both enterprise platforms and delivery executives.“
A core priority of the tie-up is optimizing the unit economics for gig workers. Fuel represents one of the largest recurring expenses for delivery riders operating conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) two-wheelers. By transitioning to Bijliride’s asset-light rental model, riders avoid prohibitive upfront capital expenditures while drastically reducing their operational cost per kilometer, enabling them to retain a larger portion of their daily earnings.
To support delivery partners through the high-volume festive shopping period, Bijliride and Flipkart Minutes have structured festive rental benefits and prioritized vehicle availability to ensure gig partners can maximize on-road earning hours without maintenance constraints.
As quick commerce demand continues to surge across urban centers, this collaboration represents a key operational milestone in building zero-emission, economically viable logistics networks across India’s metropolitan economies.
