Youdha Plans to Expand Product and Dealer Network
Following the 1,000-unit milestone, Youdha aims to broaden its presence in the electric three-wheeler market by introducing products for cargo transportation and passenger mobility. It also plans to strengthen its distribution and after-sales infrastructure to support customers and channel partners as the business grows.
Commenting on the milestone, Youdha CEO Ayush Lohia said the achievement was made possible by the support of customers, dealers and financing partners. He described the 1,000-unit mark as a foundation for the company’s next phase of growth, highlighting its focus on building long-term relationships with customers and channel partners.
Electric Three-Wheelers Drive Commercial Mobility
Electric three-wheelers are an important part of India’s commercial mobility ecosystem, serving applications such as last-mile deliveries, goods transportation and short-distance passenger travel. Their potential for lower running and maintenance costs compared with conventional petrol and diesel vehicles has contributed to their appeal among commercial operators.
The segment includes established manufacturers such as Mahindra Electric and Piaggio, alongside newer entrants seeking to expand their presence. However, access to vehicle financing remains a challenge for some small business owners and individual operators.
Focus on Commercial Applications and Market Expansion
The Youdha ePod is designed for commercial applications, including goods delivery and short-distance passenger transportation. Key considerations for buyers in this segment include driving range, payload capacity, charging infrastructure and the availability of reliable after-sales service.
While the company has not publicly disclosed its production capacity or revenue figures, the 1,000th-unit milestone marks a step in its stated expansion plans. Youdha intends to build on this progress by broadening its cargo and passenger vehicle portfolio, strengthening its dealer and service network, and exploring opportunities in additional domestic and international markets.
