Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer River Mobility has entered the Nepalese market with the opening of its first international retail and service outlet in Naxal, Kathmandu. The company has partnered with Vishal Group for its expansion into the country.
The new outlet will retail River’s flagship electric scooter, the Indie, along with accessories and merchandise. A dedicated service centre has also been established to provide after-sales support to customers in Nepal.
River Mobility plans to expand its presence beyond Kathmandu by developing a retail and service network across key cities in Nepal. The expansion is intended to improve customer access to its electric scooters and after-sales services in the market.
In India, River currently operates more than 90 stores across states and regions including Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The company aims to expand its domestic retail footprint to more than 400 stores by March 2028, covering both existing and new markets.
The River Indie is priced at NPR 3,70,000 (ex-showroom, Kathmandu). Test rides and bookings are now available at the newly opened outlet.
The Nepal entry marks a step in River Mobility’s international expansion, while its planned domestic network growth reflects the company’s continued focus on strengthening retail and service accessibility.
