
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for an educational infrastructure development project at Karnataka Public School, Magadi, reinforcing its commitment to supporting education and community development in the region.
The initiative is aimed at creating a modern, inclusive and student-friendly learning environment by strengthening educational infrastructure at the school. Through the project, TKM seeks to support better learning opportunities and contribute to improved educational outcomes for children in the surrounding communities.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Shri H. C. Balakrishna, Hon’ble Minister of Municipal Administration and District In-charge, Bengaluru South, Government of Karnataka, along with Shri Ramesh Rao, Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and senior company leadership.
The project reflects TKM’s continued focus on community development and its efforts to contribute to the long-term educational and social well-being of communities in Karnataka.
Karnataka Public School, Magadi, serves as a key learning institution for over 800 students from 10 neighbouring villages, supporting the educational aspirations across a community. Recognising the school’s important role in shaping future generations and growing together, Toyota Kirloskar Motor will construct additional classrooms, kitchen infrastructure and sanitation facilities for boys and girls, while providing classroom furniture and digital and practical learning resources to strengthen elementary education. This is expected to reduce the dropout rate among girl students, increase student enrolment and improve the pass percentage of Class 10 and Pre-University students. Over the long term, the initiative improve access to quality education and create opportunities for children to build a stronger future.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri. H. C. Balakrishna, Hon’ble Minister of Municipal Administration and District Incharge Bangalore South, Government of Karnataka said, “Schools are not just centres of learning; they are spaces where confidence is built, aspirations take shape and futures are created.
