Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 in Pune, with prices starting at ₹92,990 and ₹1,15,233, ex-showroom, respectively. The launches form part of Bajaj Auto’s broader motorcycle portfolio refresh, which is expected to introduce 10 new or updated models ahead of the festive season.
The latest motorcycles follow the launch of the Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS on August 7, marking the second phase of Bajaj Auto’s planned six-week product rollout announced during its Q1 FY27 analyst call. Of the 10 products planned, two are set to be all-new Pulsar models, while the remaining launches will comprise new variants and product updates.
“Our 150 and 125 are the second launch in this journey,” said Sumeet Narang, President – Marketing, Bajaj Auto. He added that the company would continue introducing more products in the coming weeks.
Pulsar Range Gets a Clearer Three-Platform Strategy
The latest launches come as the Pulsar continues to be one of India’s largest-selling motorcycle families. The range recorded 66,156 units in July, ranking third in the country’s motorcycle sales chart, although volumes declined 17% from the 79,817 units sold during the same month last year, according to AutoPunditz.
Bajaj Auto’s sports motorcycle segment, however, registered around 50% year-on-year growth during the April-June quarter, with the Pulsar, Avenger and Dominar ranges recording double-digit growth.
The company has also confirmed that further upgrades are planned across its 125-160cc motorcycle portfolio.
According to Narang, the refreshed Pulsar range will be structured around three distinct platforms — the original Pulsar, Pulsar N and Pulsar NS. Each platform will target different customer requirements and riding preferences, helping Bajaj create clearer differentiation within the Pulsar family.
New Pulsar 125 and 150: Specifications and Features
The new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 feature an all-new diamond-type frame, with the engine serving as a stressed member. This replaces the outgoing double-cradle-type chassis architecture.
Both motorcycles also receive a rear monoshock, updated styling, LED lighting and a new gearbox.
The Pulsar 150 produces 14 PS, while the Pulsar 125 develops 12 PS. Their respective power-to-weight ratios stand at 100 PS per tonne and 93 PS per tonne, representing an improvement over the outgoing models.
Higher variants of both motorcycles are equipped with three riding modes, Crawl Technology and a five-inch TFT instrument display with Google Maps integration.
Depending on the variant, the Pulsar 150 is priced up to ₹1.23 lakh, while the Pulsar 125 is available up to ₹1.04 lakh, ex-showroom.
Bajaj Plans Major Manufacturing Capacity Expansion
The latest Pulsar launches come as Bajaj Auto prepares to significantly increase its manufacturing capacity.
The company plans to raise annual production capacity from around 7.2 million vehicles to more than 9 million units. The additional capacity is expected to support demand across electric vehicles, premium motorcycles, exports and selected internal-combustion-engine products.
Bajaj Auto is evaluating both brownfield expansion at existing facilities and a potential greenfield plant, although the location and investment details have not yet been finalised.
The company has not yet announced the dispatch timelines for the new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150.
