
Montra Electric, the EV arm of the Murugappa Group, has launched its latest electric cargo three-wheeler, Super Cargo, in Delhi. Aimed at catering to the rising demand for sustainable last-mile cargo solutions, the launch reinforces Montra’s commitment to advancing electric mobility in India.
The Super Cargo is equipped with a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a certified range of over 200 km and a real-world on-road range of 170 km. Priced at ₹4.37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi, post-subsidy), it comes with a comprehensive battery warranty of five years or 1.75 lakh km.
Available in three configurations—170 cu.ft, 140 cu.ft, and tray deck—the Super Cargo offers flexibility for diverse business needs. Montra has also introduced two high-performance variants, Tray eQX and 170 cu.ft eQX d+, featuring rapid 15-minute full charging, made possible through a strategic partnership with Exponent Energy.
Tailored for Urban and Fleet Applications:
Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director of TI Clean Mobility Private Limited, unveiled the Montra Electric Super Cargo and formalized Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for over 200 unit deliveries during the launch event. Speaking on the occasion, he remarked, “The introduction of the Montra Electric Super Cargo is a pivotal step in our expansion journey, reinforcing our commitment to the last-mile delivery segment. Venturing into the mid- and last-mile cargo space has always been a strategic focus—and with the Super Cargo, we’re proud to transform that vision into reality.”
The Super Cargo is equipped with a robust powertrain delivering 70 Nm of torque and 11 kW of peak power. It offers 23% gradeability and supports a gross vehicle weight of 1.2 tonnes. Key features include front disc brakes, hill-hold assist, reverse assist, seat belt provisions, regenerative braking, and multiple drive modes. Built on a strong Boron Steel chassis, the vehicle also comes with a spacious 6.2-foot load tray. Designed to meet the needs of both fleet operators and individual business owners, the Super Cargo is available through Montra Electric dealerships in over 90 cities across India.

The Super Cargo is offered in four distinct colour options: Chilli Red, Steel Grey, Indian Blue, and Stallion Brown.
