Range Rover SV Ultra launched in India at ₹3.8 Crore

JLR has launched the new flagship Range Rover SV Ultra in India at ₹3.8 crore (ex-showroom). Powered by a 395kW mild-hybrid V8 engine, the luxury SUV debuts an electrostatic sound system, premium sustainable interiors and advanced wellness technologies, with an electric variant set to arrive later this year.

JLR has launched the Range Rover SV Ultra in India at a starting price of ₹3.8 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi), making it the new flagship model in the Range Rover lineup. The luxury SUV is initially available with a 395kW mild-hybrid petrol V8 engine, while an all-electric variant is expected to join the portfolio later this year.

The SV Ultra introduces a range of exclusive styling and technology upgrades. On the outside, it features a distinctive Titan Silver paint finish developed with aluminium flake pigment technology, complemented by Satin Platinum Atlas and Silver Chrome exterior accents. The SUV also rides on bespoke 23-inch alloy wheels with Satin Platinum inserts, further enhancing its premium appearance.

Inside the cabin, the Range Rover SV Ultra adopts a leather-free interior finished in Orchid White and Cinder Grey Ultrafabrics. The luxury-focused cabin also includes laser-crafted seat upholstery, rattan palm veneer trim and ceramic detailing, offering a blend of craftsmanship and sustainable materials.

Commenting on the launch, Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India, said the Range Rover SV Ultra represents the highest expression of Range Rover luxury by combining exclusive design elements with cutting-edge innovation.

One of the standout highlights is the introduction of the SV Electrostatic Sound System, which JLR says is the world’s first production-vehicle application of electrostatic audio technology. The system incorporates 21 ultra-thin electrostatic transducers integrated into the headrests, seatbacks and roof lining, working alongside five bass speakers to create an immersive in-cabin audio experience.

The advanced audio setup is paired with the Body and Soul Seats and Sensory Floor technologies, offering six wellness programmes designed to promote relaxation, focus and passenger comfort during journeys.

According to JLR, the electrostatic speakers react faster than conventional speaker systems while using up to 90% less power and weight. The company also highlights the sustainability benefits of the system, noting that it is manufactured without rare earth elements and incorporates fully recycled and recyclable materials by mass.
