Suzuki India introduces OBD-2B Compliant Avenis and Burgman Scooters

The updated OBD-2B norms, part of India's BS-6 Phase 2 emission standards, require real-time emission monitoring and rider alerts for potential issues. The OBD-2B-compliant Suzuki Avenis is priced at ₹93,200, while the Burgman Street costs ₹95,800 (both ex-showroom, Delhi). These models are now available at all Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships nationwide.

Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMI) has launched OBD-2B-compliant versions of its Avenis and Burgman series scooters, ensuring full compliance with the latest emission regulations across its entire two-wheeler lineup. The OBD-2B norms, an update to the BS-6 Phase 2 emission standards in India, mandate real-time emission monitoring and rider notifications for potential issues.

The OBD-2B-compliant Suzuki Avenis is priced at ₹93,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Burgman Street is available at ₹95,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both updated models are now available at all Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships nationwide.

Suzuki Avenis and Burgman Series: OBD-2B Compliant Upgrades & New Features

Suzuki Avenis:
The Suzuki Avenis now comes in a special edition featuring a striking Metallic Matte Black No. 2 and Matte Titanium Silver color scheme, enhancing its bold and sporty appeal.

Powering the Avenis is an OBD-2B compliant, all-aluminum, 4-stroke, single-cylinder 124.3cc engine. This refined engine ensures a cleaner and more efficient ride while maintaining the scooter’s signature instant pickup and agile handling.

Suzuki Burgman Series:
The Suzuki Burgman series is equipped with an all-aluminum, 4-stroke, single-cylinder 124cc engine. The Burgman Street, featuring Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, delivers 8.7 PS of power at 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

The Burgman Street EX is powered by Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine technology, which incorporates Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) and a Silent Starter System. It produces 8.6 PS of power at 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Additionally, the Burgman Street EX is equipped with a 12-inch rear wheel, enhancing its overall stance and providing a more premium, stable ride.

The Suzuki Burgman Street is available in two variants: Standard Edition and Ride Connect. The Burgman Street EX starts at ₹1,16,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is offered in three color options: Metallic Matte Stellar Blue (New), Metallic Matte Black No. 2, and Metallic Royal Bronze.
