
BOS GmbH & Co. KG of Germany and JRG Automotive Industries India Pvt. Ltd. have entered into a strategic joint venture to establish BOS-JRG Automotive Systems Pvt. Ltd., combining BOS’s global engineering expertise with JRG’s manufacturing strengths in India. The new venture aims to address the growing demand for advanced automotive solutions in the Indian market.
BOS-JRG Automotive Systems will initially focus on the production of automotive shading and cargo management systems, including Side Window Sunshades and Tonneau Covers. Under the partnership structure, BOS holds a 60% stake in the company, while JRG Automotive Industries India Pvt. Ltd. owns the remaining 40%.
Marking a significant milestone, BOS-JRG Automotive Systems inaugurated its manufacturing facility in Bawal, Haryana on 10 June 2026, followed by the formal industry launch of the joint venture in Gurugram.
The newly established facility is equipped with dedicated assembly and production lines based on BOS’s globally proven manufacturing systems and quality standards. The operation is further strengthened by JRG’s established manufacturing ecosystem, tooling capabilities, injection moulding expertise and supply chain network.
The venture has commenced with an initial investment exceeding USD 1 million, with Series Production (SOP) scheduled for December 2026. The company aims to achieve revenues exceeding USD 15 million within the next five years, driven by strong localisation efforts, technology transfer and expansion across leading passenger vehicle OEMs in India.

The inauguration event at the Bawal manufacturing facility was attended by senior representatives from leading automotive OEMs, supply chain partners and industry stakeholders. Guests were provided an overview of the facility, its manufacturing capabilities and the company’s future growth roadmap.
The evening launch event in Gurugram brought together senior leadership from major automotive manufacturers, global BOS leadership, international partners and key industry stakeholders to formally announce the joint venture and share its long-term vision for India.
BOS-JRG Automotive Systems aims to bring globally proven automotive comfort, shading and cargo management solutions to the Indian market while supporting the growing premiumisation of passenger vehicles. The venture will also play a key role in strengthening local manufacturing through technology transfer, localisation and the introduction of advanced automotive technologies.
Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its portfolio beyond Side Window Sunshades and Tonneau Covers into advanced shading, comfort and other automotive interior and mechatronic systems, supporting the next phase of growth in India’s passenger vehicle industry.
