Urja Mobility teams up with Sieger Technologies to deploy 2,500 advanced batteries, marking a new era in EV leasing

Urja Mobility has partnered with Sieger Technologies to deploy 2,500 advanced batteries for electric two- and three-wheelers, marking a new era in EV leasing. With a ₹10 Crore investment, this collaboration aims to revolutionize battery leasing by offering a flexible, cost-effective solution, addressing the financial barrier of upfront battery costs, and accelerating the adoption of sustainable electric transportation.

Urja Mobility, a leader in EV battery leasing solutions, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Sieger Technologies, an innovator in advanced battery systems. This collaboration marks a significant advancement in the electric mobility sector, with Urja Mobility investing $1 million in Sieger Technologies’ cutting-edge battery technology and committing to lease and deploy 2,500 state-of-the-art batteries for electric vehicles.

The partnership is poised to accelerate the shift towards cleaner, more sustainable transportation by offering EV operators a flexible and cost-effective battery leasing model. By addressing the high upfront battery costs that often pose a significant financial barrier, this initiative will increase the accessibility of commercial electric vehicles.

Speaking on the investment, Mr. Pankaj Chopra, Founder and CEO, Urja Mobility, said, “At Urja Mobility, we aim to make electric mobility a practical, affordable choice for businesses. Our partnership with Sieger Technologies reflects our dedication to innovation and sustainability. With this $1 million investment, we are empowering fleet operators with cutting-edge battery solutions that offer reliability and enhanced performance.”

The 2,500 batteries, provided by Sieger Technologies, will be deployed across a wide range of electric two-wheelers (L2) and three-wheelers (L3, L5), playing a critical role in enhancing the performance and longevity of these vehicles. These batteries will incorporate advanced features such as smart BMS (Battery Management System) with IoT solutions, thermal management, and advanced chemistry cells, all designed to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the collaboration, Mr. Guru Prasanth, Founding Partner, Sieger Technologies, said, “We are excited to partner with Urja Mobility, whose innovative approach to EV battery leasing aligns perfectly with our mission of delivering future-ready energy solutions. By combining our advanced battery technology with their leasing model, we aim to redefine the EV experience for businesses and consumers alike.”

Urja Mobility’s leasing model allows businesses to lease high-performance Lithium-Ion batteries for electric three-wheelers (51.2V-100Ah, 200Ah) and two-wheelers (51.2V-20Ah to 40Ah), with fast-charging capabilities (2-4 hours). By converting the upfront cost of purchasing batteries into a manageable monthly lease value (MLV), this partnership aims to reduce the financial burden on businesses, empowering them to operate their electric vehicles from future earnings.
