e-Ashwa Automotive Private Limited, has celebrated the World EV Day 2022 in a grand way by inaugurating company’s first EV Design and Engineering Centre at Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh and by launching their 1000th dealer & Distributorship store in India. With 1000 dealership stores, e-Ashwa Automotive has become the first company in the EV segment to achieve this milestone.
e-Ashwa Automotive started this World EV Day 2022 by Inaugurating the 1st EV Design and Engineering Centre in the country to turn the field from Make in India to Made in India. The Centre will work in sync with the design and engineering teams and it will house global talent across multiple disciplines of two-wheeler and three-wheeler electric vehicle design, advanced high-performance automotive engineering, digital & physical modelling and more. It will also house talent that will focus on vehicle R&D around new energy systems as well.
Speaking about the new centre, Vikas Gupta, Founder & CEO, e-Ashwa Automotive, said, “e-Ashwa’s new EV Design & Engineering Centre will enable us to tap into the large pool of great automotive design & engineering talent in India to create the next generation of EVs for our people. The Centre will work in close collaboration with our head office to help us build the future of mobility as we make EVs affordable and accessible across India.”
On this very special day e-Ashwa Automotive has also achieved the milestone of 1000 EV distributor & dealership stores in the country. The company has been launching average 40-50 EV dealership stores every month especially post-pandemic as the demand for eco-friendly and affordable mobility solutions significantly increased.
Speaking on 1000 dealership milestone, Mr. Gupta, added, “While we reached our 1000 dealership stores in close to 3 years, e-Ashwa has become the only company in India in EV segment to achieve this milestone. We opened the first dealer store in August 2019, 200th store in August 2021 and 1000th store in September 2022 on the eve of World EV Day 2022. This shows the significant demand shift towards electric vehicles due to consumers becoming more environment-conscious and favorable government schemes towards electric vehicles to promote environment-friendly mobility solutions.”
Speaking on the context to World EV Day 2022 Vikas Gupta added that, “India is at the cusp of becoming a leading Electric Vehicle player in the world in the next few years. Our Prime Minister also recently acknowledged a bright future for EVs in India and achieving the Net-Zero target by 2070. With several favourable policies at the Central and State level to promote EV in the country, we expect a significant transition towards EV especially affordable electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers which are already seeing bridging the last-mile connectivity in rural and urban India. The rise of the EV segment has also created huge employment opportunities for unemployed youths and transitioned hand-pulled rickshaw drivers to e-rickshaws creating better and environment-friendly livelihood opportunities and improved health.”
