Statiq rolls out free charging service in Karnataka

Statiq assures that their charging stations are compatible with various EV models, including popular ones like Tata Nexon, MG ZS EV, and Tata Tiago EV.

Statiq, an operator of more than 400 electric vehicle (EV) charging points in Karnataka, has initiated a no-cost charging program in the area. The company aims to encourage users to utilize public charging options for long-distance travel, supplementing home charging. Statiq assures that their charging stations are compatible with various EV models, including popular ones like Tata Nexon, MG ZS EV, and Tata Tiago EV.

To access the complimentary charging service, individuals just have to download the Statiq app, sign in, input their vehicle information, and initiate the charging procedure. Statiq emphasizes that there are no hidden fees, and users can charge their electric vehicles multiple times at no expense. This complimentary service applies to personal vehicles, excluding public transport like cabs, and extends to two-wheelers across different chargers on public networks.

The free charging feature is accessible on all chargers listed on the Statiq app, which includes Glida, Sunfuel, and e-fill. Akshit Bansal, the Founder & CEO of Statiq, expressed, “With this program, our goal is to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles and enhance our reach in the Southern market.”

Last year, Statiq introduced a feature providing real-time insights to streamline the EV journey for users. This feature consolidates essential information within the Statiq app, providing details on total distance traveled, remaining range updates, and a charging indicator. Currently, Statiq has deployed over 7,000 EV chargers in tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 cities in India, with plans to expand to 20,000 charging stations by the end of 2025.
