
Genesys International Corporation Limited has announced the appointment of Dhiman Basu Ray as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Ray brings around 26 years of experience in digital engineering and technology. Before joining Genesys International, he served as Global Chief Technology Officer for Digital Engineering at Tech Mahindra.
His professional experience spans several technology domains, including artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud architecture, platform engineering, cybersecurity and software-defined vehicle architectures.
In his new role at Genesys International, Ray will lead the company’s technology roadmap as it works towards developing an AI-native spatial intelligence layer.
Commenting on the appointment, Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director of Genesys International, said the company is transitioning from mapping the world to making the physical world computable.
He highlighted the growing need for accurate, three-dimensional and continuously updated models of the physical environment to support AI systems operating in the real world. Malik added that Ray’s experience across AI, robotics, digital engineering and global product businesses would be valuable as Genesys builds the technology architecture needed to transform geospatial data into continuously updated spatial intelligence.
Ray said the opportunity lies in bringing together AI, digital engineering and platform thinking to transform Genesys International’s existing capabilities into a scalable spatial intelligence layer.
The appointment comes as Genesys International continues to strengthen its technology capabilities and expand its focus on AI-driven geospatial and spatial intelligence solutions.
