JSW MG Motor India reported impressive sales of the Windsor EV in November 2024, cementing its leadership in the Indian electric car market. The company sold 3,144 units, making it the highest-selling EV for the second consecutive month.
The automaker also achieved a remarkable year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth of 20% compared to November 2023, with total sales reaching 6,019 units last month. Notably, the company’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio accounted for 70% of the overall sales, reflecting the increasing preference for sustainable mobility solutions offered by the brand.
The MG Windsor EV is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. It features a 136PS/200Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor powered by a 38kWh IP67-rated lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The vehicle offers four driving modes: Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport.
While the Windsor EV presents an appealing package, its ARAI-certified range of 332 km per charge is relatively modest compared to some competitors. However, to enhance customer convenience, JSW MG Motor provides free charging at public chargers through the eHUB by MG app for one year to Windsor EV owners.
Additionally, the Windsor EV comes with a 3-60 assured buyback plan, guaranteeing 60% of the vehicle’s value after three years or 45,000 kilometers, offering customers enhanced peace of mind.
