LeafyBus, an electric bus operator based in New Delhi, has set a new benchmark in sustainable transportation by launching India’s first 360 kW fast-charging infrastructure. This innovation allows its electric buses to cover an impressive 900 kilometers daily on the Delhi-Dehradun route. Developed in partnership with GLIDA India (Fortum Charge & Drive India), this breakthrough addresses the challenges of long-distance electric vehicle (EV) travel in India.
The 360 kW fast charger reduces charging time to under 50 minutes, enabling LeafyBus to run three daily trips with minimal downtime and greater operational efficiency. This advancement not only makes high-cost electric buses more economically viable but also highlights the critical role of robust charging infrastructure in India’s growing EV landscape.

The company is scaling operations through partnerships with JBM Electric Vehicles to acquire 200 electric buses and AMU (NBFC) to finance its first 10 EV buses for inter-city travel.
