Mahindra Farm Equipment Business (FEB), part of the Mahindra Group and the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the production of 70 lakh tractors. The achievement underscores the company’s longstanding commitment to advancing farm mechanization and enhancing agricultural productivity for farmers in India and across global markets.
The milestone reflects Mahindra’s continued focus on innovation, manufacturing excellence, and its mission to empower farmers through modern agricultural solutions. Over the years, the company has played a pivotal role in transforming farming practices by providing reliable and efficient mechanization technologies tailored to diverse agricultural needs.
With a strong manufacturing network in India and an expanding international footprint, Mahindra FEB markets its products under several well-established brands, including Mahindra Tractors and Swaraj Tractors. The business also operates through Gromax, which manufactures and markets the Trakstar and Hindustan range of tractors.
Today, Mahindra offers one of the industry’s most comprehensive tractor portfolios, featuring more than 350 models and variants designed to meet the requirements of farmers across different geographies and applications. Beyond tractors, the company continues to expand its range of tractor-driven and self-propelled farm machinery, further strengthening its position as a comprehensive farm mechanization solutions provider.
The production milestone highlights Mahindra’s enduring leadership in the agricultural equipment sector and its contribution to driving productivity, efficiency, and prosperity for millions of farmers worldwide.
Founded in 1963, Mahindra Tractors is India’s No.1 tractor brand, with manufacturing across Mumbai, Nagpur, Zaheerabad, Rudrapur, Jaipur and Rajkot, and R&D based at MRV, Chennai. Swaraj Tractors, formerly Punjab Tractors Ltd., is India’s second largest tractor brand, and has emerged as one of the country’s fastest growing tractor players, over the last decade, driven by consistent volume growth and a strong connect with the farming community. Credited with developing the country’s first indigenous tractor in 1974, Swaraj has a strong presence in Mohali through its manufacturing plants, foundry and R&D facility. Gromax Agri Equipment Ltd., a 60:40 JV between M&M Ltd. and the Government of Gujarat, operates from Vadodara and is India’s No.1 regional tractor brand.
The milestone builds on Mahindra FEB’s strong momentum in product innovation and world-class manufacturing, with record annual tractor sales of over 526,000 units in FY’26, new launches such as the Mahindra 585 YUVO TECH+ V1, Mahindra NOVO Premium Edition and Swaraj Protek, as well as the global expansion of Mahindra OJA across key markets.
