Nissan India begins exporting 10,000+ LHD new Magnite units

The New Nissan Magnite has become the entry-level B-SUV for Nissan globally, aligning with the ‘One Car, One World’ strategy. In January 2025, nearly 2,900 LHD units were exported to select LATAM markets, with over 7,100 more set for export in February to the Middle East, North Africa, LATAM, and Asia Pacific. Manufactured at Nissan's Chennai plant, the Magnite will be available in over 65 global RHD and LHD markets. The SUV’s strong sales and positive reception in India and abroad highlight Nissan's resurgence in key emerging markets.

The New Nissan Magnite, launched by Nissan Motor India in October 2024 with a bold design and premium features, is now heading to Left-Hand Drive (LHD) markets worldwide. In late January 2025, Nissan began exporting nearly 2,900 units of the LHD variant from Chennai’s Kamarajar Port (KPL) to select LATAM markets. This move supports Nissan’s ‘One Car One World’ strategy and emphasizes India’s growing role as a global export hub.

In February 2025, Nissan Motor India will export over 7,100 units of the New Nissan Magnite in the second wave in February 2025 to markets in the Middle East, North Africa, select markets in LATAM & Asia Pacific region. By end of February, the company will have exported a total of over 10,000 units of the LHD version of the New Nissan Magnite.

Frank Torres, Divisional Vice President of AMIEO Region Business Transformation & President of Nissan India Operations, commented on the milestone, saying, “Nissan Motor India has been diligently working towards expanding its operations and reach, not just within the domestic market but also focusing on exports.
