India Energy Storage Week 2026 to showcase future of electric mobility

The event will focus on electric vehicles, battery manufacturing, energy storage, green hydrogen, battery recycling, smart grids, charging infrastructure and supply chain localisation.

India’s electric mobility and clean energy ambitions are set to gain global momentum as government representatives and leading companies from 15 countries come together in New Delhi for the 12th edition of India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2026, scheduled to be held from July 8–10 at Yashobhoomi (IICC).

With e-mobility at the heart of this year’s event, IESW 2026 will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, innovators and automotive stakeholders from countries including Germany, Sweden, Australia, Norway, the United States, Japan, Singapore, France, and South Korea. The event will serve as a platform to strengthen international collaboration and facilitate knowledge exchange across key sectors such as electric vehicles, battery manufacturing, supply chain localisation, battery recycling, stationary energy storage and green hydrogen.

Expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors, 1,000 delegates, and 200 exhibitors, IESW 2026 aims to accelerate India’s transition towards sustainable mobility while showcasing the latest advancements in clean energy technologies.

The three-day event will also witness several major industry announcements and report launches. Following the inaugural session, the CES Report on Energy Storage and Green Hydrogen in India will be unveiled, offering insights into the country’s evolving clean energy landscape. Visitors will also witness the launch of new Smart Grid solutions aimed at advancing intelligent energy management. On the concluding day, the India EV and EV Component Report will be released, providing a comprehensive overview of India’s electric vehicle ecosystem, component manufacturing landscape, and future supply chain opportunities.

The event will feature participation from senior government officials, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and global companies, providing direct access to policymakers and CXOs driving the clean energy agenda. With more than 50 conference sessions and five international country pavilions, IESW 2026 will showcase global best practices, emerging technologies, and India-specific deployment models. The agenda includes marquee sessions and dynamic panels, such as “Powering India’s Future: Energy Storage and Green Hydrogen at the Centre of Net Zero,” leadership talks addressing India’s roadmap to 2030, BESS project financing, policy risk mitigation, and the role of open energy.

Debmalya Sen, President, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), said, “India is at a pivotal moment in its e-mobility and clean energy journey, and IESW 2026 will serve as a catalyst for global cooperation and investment. By bringing together policymakers, innovators, and industry leaders from across 15 nations, we are not just sharing ideas; we are shaping the technologies and policies that will define the energy landscape for decades to come.”

Technical panels like “Beyond Lithium: The Next Wave of Storage Technologies” and “From Tenders to Bankability: Cracking Utility-Scale Storage” will address industry challenges and showcase new solutions across sectors such as telecom, data centres, rail, and shipping. Additional sessions will spotlight advances in green hydrogen, supply chain localisation, and manufacturing excellence. Key discussions on battery manufacturing and recycling, including “Gigafactories or Pipe Dreams? India’s Cell Manufacturing Reality Check” and “Inside the Cell: Cathode, Anode, Electrolyte and the Race to Localise,” will highlight efforts to scale domestic production and close the loop with circular economy practices.

Vinayak Walimbe, Managing Director, Customized Energy Solutions (CES), said, “The challenges of energy storage, e-mobility, and green hydrogen require bold thinking and international partnership. At IESW 2026, we are convening the top minds and organisations from around the world to accelerate progress, unlock new opportunities for Indian and global stakeholders, and drive tangible impact in the transition to a sustainable future.”

The Women in Energy Forum will focus on digital innovation and leadership, while the IESA Awards and 40 Under 40 honours will celebrate standout achievements. E-mobility will be a major theme, with expert panels on India’s EV race and charging network, and the IESA Masterclass will deliver practical, in-depth training for industry professionals.

Specialised workshops, industry roundtables, and international partner pavilions will foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration, helping set the direction for India’s clean energy policy, technology, and investment. With a focus on actionable insights, safety standards, and inclusion across the full value chain, IESW 2026 is expected to shape the next wave of innovation and global partnerships in advanced energy storage, e-mobility, and green hydrogen.
